About the Olive Oil
Castello ColleMassari I.G.P., from the Maremma coast of southern Tuscany, is one of the finest expressions of Tuscan olive oil. It is produced by the Bertarelli family in the Montecucco wine area using entirely organic farming methods. This oil is a blend of the classic Tuscan cultivars Leccino, Frantoio, and Moraiolo.
Tasting Notes
Castello ColleMassari I.G.P. has a very unique terroir due to its location between Mount Amiata and the Tyrrhenian Sea. This brilliant olive oil is elegantly spicy and fruity, with hints of bitter greens, aromatic wild herbs, and the pronounced flavor of artichoke.
Serving Suggestions: Drizzle over soups, salads, and young goat cheese. Or try using as a dip for pinzimonio (sliced raw vegetables).
