1 Divella Penne 14oz
- 1 Sclafani Peeled Tomatoes 14oz
- 1 Sclafani Tomato Paste 6oz
- 1 Arte Organic Puglian Extra Virgin Olive Oil 500mL
- 1 Artibel Crushed Red Pepper
Ingredients: 1 pack Divella Penne, 14oz can Sclafani peeled tomatoes, 4oz Sclafani tomato paste, 1/2 cup EVOO, 5-6 basil leaves, 1/2 teaspoon crushed red peppers, Hard cheese like Parmigiano-Reggiano or pecorino romano for finishing.
- Bring a pot of water to boil, add salt.
- Add 1/4 cup EVOO to a large pan over medium heat. Fry garlic cloves in oil and remove once golden brown. Add 4oz tomato paste and 1/2 teaspoon of crushed red pepper. Reduce heat and stir until fragrant. Add canned tomatoes and remove from heat.
- Add pasta into boiling water and cook al dente. Drain pasta, reserve 1/4 cup pasta water.
- Add pasta and pasta water to tomato sauce, stir and toss over medium heat until pasta well coated. Add another 1/4 cup of EVOO and toss. Garnish with chopped basil leaves.
